![]() It’s exclusively trying to fight the last boss. ![]() Regarding Davy, my problem with mirror in skul is never the maps. Shoot dash shoot jump also let’s you double tap slow-shooting weapons, effectively doubling your damage output with them. Regarding animation cancelling: dash dash jump makes you ignore the awful end lag on dash. I think the thing that makes him good is understanding how to properly cycle weapons and animation cancelling. As long as you get to legendary mummy, the skull is incredibly flexible with build, functioning with basically any of the physical inscriptions, mutant items, and even pure magic builds. My opinion on mummy is the opposite actually. I usually play Mage with a crit + skill spam build to maximize direct skill damage. Personally I'm not a fan of most of those skill usage item effects, they tend to be underwhelming compared to increasing damage through other means. Maybe if you're building a lot of item damage stuff like Mage's Necklace that de-emphasizes the direct skill damage of skulls he wouldn't stick out as much, but even then his skill damage should still be noticeably high. It's notable that even with just Magic Pocket Watch and no additional cooldown items, his mana management becomes trivial and his skill spam becomes nearly endless thanks to the fact that his mana regen is affected by concentration speed. I've played skill spam builds with a lot of skulls and Mage consistently deals great dps that most other skulls with the same build type struggle to match. From my experience, Mage has been the absolute strongest skill spam skull due to his high damage per skill and effectively nonexistent cooldowns with even just a decent build.
